Read Agata’s story

Empathy begins when we truly see someone.
Not merely looking, but seeing. Not being moved for a moment and then walking away.
To truly see means to pause before another life and recognize its separateness.
To understand that before us there is someone — with their own fear, pain, memory, need for peace, and longing for safety.

For us, this is what empathy means: I see you, I feel with you, and I act to help you.
This is the idea from which the Empathy Institute was born. And this is the idea with which we run Pegasus Sanctuary.
Pegasus is a place for animals whom humans have failed — old, sick, injured, abandoned animals; those who, in a world driven by profit, stopped being useful to anyone.
But rescue does not end the moment an animal crosses the sanctuary gate. That is when daily responsibility begins: food, treatment, clean bedding, a safe space, peace, and a person who comes back every day. But this place is not only for animals.
We are creating it for people, too.
For children, who can learn here that those who are weaker are not to be used, but protected.
For volunteers, who discover that helping is not a single gesture, but a relationship.
For everyone who needs to see that goodness is not an abstraction — it has hands, time, presence, and concrete decisions.
Stare Resko is meant to become exactly such a place.
A home for rescued animals and a school of empathy for people.
A space where a child, looking into the eyes of an old horse, a sick dog, or a farm animal, can understand something no textbook can teach: that every life has dignity.

That is why this campaign matters.
Because we are not raising funds only for a building, feed, renovation, or medical treatment. We are building a place where empathy becomes a daily practice.
A place that teaches us to truly see — and to act when someone needs help.
This is the meaning of Pegasus.
This is the meaning of the

Empathy Institute.

And this is why this place must exist.

A Little Good

With 5 €, we can buy fresh carrots, apples or other small additions to the animals’ daily food.

For rescued animals, these are more than treats. They are part of everyday care — a kind moment, a full mouth, a little comfort and a reminder that life can be gentle now.

A Clean Place to Rest

With 10 €, we can help provide bedding, cleaning supplies or basic materials needed to keep a stall, kennel or resting place clean, dry and safe.

For animals who once lacked even basic care, a clean place to rest means peace, dignity and security.

A Bag of Feed

With 20 €, we can buy a bag of feed, chaff, beet pulp or basic supplements for animals who need special nutrition after illness, hunger, neglect or old age.

Good food is not just food. It is recovery, strength and a chance to feel safe in the body again.

Real Help

With 50 €, we can buy specialist feed, hoof care products, dressings, medicine or cover part of a veterinary visit.

For many rescued animals, healing is made of small acts of care repeated every day — feeding, cleaning, treating, checking, waiting and staying close.

A Part of Their Month

With 100 €, you make a meaningful contribution to the monthly care of one rescued animal.

Your donation helps us buy feed, hay, bedding, supplements or basic medicine — the things animals need every day, no matter what else is happening around us.

Rescue is not only an emergency. It is also the quiet work that continues month after month.

A Month of Safety

With 250 €, you can help cover around one month of basic care for one rescued animal.

That means food, hay, bedding, basic supplements, medicine and daily maintenance — a month of safety for someone who may once have lived without even the minimum of care.

This is a powerful gift. It gives us time, stability and the ability to plan care with more peace.

Your Gift, Your Impact

Choose your own donation amount and help us care for the rescued animals of Pegasus.

Every donation — small or large — helps us provide food, shelter, medical care, bedding, supplements and daily attention for the animals who live here.

Your gift becomes part of this home.
